After a nice, refreshing summer break, the Case Amateur Radio Club has started preparations to get back on the air. Our Faculty Advisor, David Kazdan, has sent out the initial call for new officers to the freshman circles, with the assistance of our current sophomore and junior student members. One of these new members which has been eager for the club to resume regular operating hours is international student Andrej Antunovikj from North Macedonia, home call sign Z35TUN. He has prior experience working in his local ham radio club back home, so he is a welcome addition to our club!
We eagerly await what experiences this new semester will bring us. Some initial plans are weather satellite reception, increased presence in HF contests, and teaching new members about the ARRL radiogram system (and as a result, traffic nets.) Do join us to find out what we have in store!
